The Film

When you first arrive, it's a postcard: turquoise water, whitewashed houses, friendly people. Only later do you discover that there are five families on the island, and that you were adopted by the lowest one. Except that the first time I went fishing with Pantelis, the head of the most powerful family, he had the best catch of his life. Which meant that I was good luck, and nobody dared mess with me.
